Researchers from the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated in the international MITRE 2025 conference, held in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, contributing with a scientific paper dedicated to public perception of smart mobility.
The paper presented by Ion Alexandru Marinescu, co-authored by Ciprian Dobre, Ionuț Petre, and Florin Pop, highlighted the results of a sociological study on the level of awareness and acceptance of smart mobility solutions among Romanian citizens. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding the social dimension of the transition toward smart cities, beyond technological innovation, and was conducted within the framework of the Climate-Neutral Governance project and the NetZeroCities Centre.
Participation in MITRE 2025 represented an opportunity for international dissemination of the project’s results and for strengthening the regional scientific collaboration network, in line with the objectives of promoting an integrated model of sustainable urban governance.
